After several turbulent months during which she battled her alternate personality Sharly Watts (and Sharly's attraction to Congressman Grant Harrison), and successfully integrating her two personalities into one person, the very pregnant Sharlene Hudson needed some time and space to sort everything out. I started working on this long before they played the second verse of the song on the show during John's dream of Sharlene with the flashback clips, so it's strictly a coincidence that the song I chose was used on the show. This video is from John's POV about his love for Sharlene and how he remains "right here waiting" for her to come home to him now that Sharly's attempted reign of their lives is over. All clips are from 1989 and 1990.

perfect song for these two. man i loved them when i was little. they were so - i dont know - real. like people you would live next door to. sometimes soap couples seem so "brangelina" (looks, money, careers ect), but not these two
