  • You can buy a repair kit for these...only about £12 quid. Also, when replacing them...no need to do up the top bolt. Its that top bolt which is the issue that causes destruction of hands. Likewise getting to the fuel regulator which is another common "issue" lol

  • Genius, thank you so much, I was trying to remove my starter to repair the solinoid and after struggling with the top bolt, found your cheat. I pulled the solinoid spun it up on the lathe and hey presto.
