  • Here are some FACTS concerning Love Never Dies:

    - Raoul becomes an alcoholic.

    - The Phantom parades around Coney Island as "Mr Y"

    - Christine is stupid enough to accept an invitation to an attraction called "Phantasma"

    - It's set in 1907, which is supposed to be a decade after the original, but the original was set in 1881.

    - The characters according to the official cast listing for Love Never Dies have actually got YOUNGER despite the time difference

    - Meg becomes an "Ooh La La" dancing girl.

  • (continued)

    - The story is loosely based of Forsyth's awful PHANTOM OF MANHATTAN which was hated by both the fans and the critics

    - The Phantom inexplicably travels to America by boat despite the fact that he's on the run from a mob and is not exactly hard to spot

    - The lyrics to the above song include lines such as "years come, years go", "the day starts, the day ends, time goes by", "the moments creep, yet I can't bear to sleep". These lines come out of the mouth of The Phantom, a man who...

  • from 2:06 and on i think is the best "....let hopes pass let dreams pass let them die! without you what are they for?" Love is a powerful thing it can be beautiful or end in tragedy but either way dont mess with it mmmkay? :)

  • I think everyone thinks this is going to be a terrible sequel simply because the original was so great nothing could ever compare to it. But how about we all wait and watch it with an open mind. Maybe this one will be just as great or even better? We dont know yet. =)

  • But....

the song is really really beautiful Andrew Lloyd Weber is a musical genius and Ramin is a excellent singer!!!!! with so much feeling!!!! I don't know why not do a new movie like 2004 with him and sierra with this new song. =)

  • I think this song should be perfect in the original musical but the idea that Erick and Christine could be together is unthinkable! Erick is a character from a gotic novel he's suppose to be unhappy, repulsive and Christine would never love him. We love Erick because he's like that and he decided die for Christine in order to let her be happy with Raoul, I always hate Raoul but if Erick don't die and continues trying that Christine loves him and at the end he will be with her I DONT LOV ANYMORE!

  • @ptownjcounty musical wise, i dont think love never dies is worse than phantom. It has some really powerful music..i enjoyed watching both :)

  • and just because the place is called phantasma doesn't mean it's gonna be some big tip off to christine, there was a lot of these freak side show attraction places at this time. give respect to the muscial in it's own light. the original phantom of the opera is of course better and will never have another hold a candle to it, so don't compare this great play "love never dies" to a timeless masterpiece.

  • the phantom didn't rape christine she found him and came to him the night before her wedding to raoul. he left before she woke because he thought she would be happier with raoul. ten years later he's worked his way up from the bottom in america the "new country" which thousands others did at this time so it's nothing remarkable. he's probably heard about raoul's debts and family struggles and has never stopped loving christine.

  • it's funny how most "die-hard" phantom fans are offended by this production before they've even bothered to try and understand it. follow the freakin story line, it's approved and overlooked by the guy who created the phantom of the opera that you all love so much. raoul like many other early twentieth century aristocats looses his money to gambling and turns to alcohol.

  • Don't let the PHANTOM story or its characters be ruined by the desecration to the story within Lloyd Webber's misguided sequel, LOVE NEVER DIES, condemned by theatre critics and PHANTOM fans across the globe.

  • @HumanxNature Look like a pussy? I'm betting on at least 10 plus deaths caused by the Phantom alone. Oooo, no. Erik is back, baby!
