I never said that they would sound the best but think about it, you can make speakers out of old hard drives. For me, stuff like this is a hobby

how big of an amplifier did you have to hook up to make it produce sound? or does it not have to have alot of power to work? Did you just wire it to the coil on the arm?

Well you do need a good ammount of power to power it but nothing ridiculous. I just used a typical home stereo unit ( i used a SONY CMT-CP11 to be exact, yes its old but good) I just directly wired the speaker terminals to the coil on the read/write arm. Thanks for the comment!
