nice job, mouth movement CAN be and in this case i believe it is for technical reasons, the "chewing" of the words helps to open the sinuses and get better nasal pharengeal space. it helps a lot in keeping the resonance high and especially important for young singers to practice. honestly i would rather hear a singer with solid technique and good tone that makes faces than a dead faced singer with poor tone and noticeable technical problems.
