I was trying to fit this into 10 minutes - and - hence, increased the speed midway. There are some imperfections in the recording as well. I'll be re-posting this video soon. But, in the meantime, wanted to present this recording to interested listeners/viewers.




The tune for this recording of harikathaamrutasaara was taught to me by Smt. Ratna Baai (Ajji) - who lived to be a 100 years old - whom I affectionately recollect with deepest reverence. The raaga/tune remains as she taught it to me - in hamsadhwani raaga, set to mishra-chaapu taaLa.

The audio/video has lost its synchronicity - upon the upload to youtube. I tried three times already and have written to them to resolve this issue. It's very irritating to watch the video and see the hand-movements of the veena not coordinating with the audio.... sorry... will try to repost soon.... Raghavendra.

Good Raga... It is very good.  Blending it with Veena has come out well.
