Tiger numbers have fallen by more than 70 percent in slightly more than a decade in the Greater Mekong. This decline is reflected in the global wild tiger population, which is at an all time low of 3,200 - down from an estimated 5,000 to 7,000 during the last Year of the Tiger. Decisive action must be taken to ensure this iconic species does not reach the point of no return.
