Gaining confidence in the boat I opened the throttle all the way. The rooster tail grew noticeably and the exhaust note changed as the engine came on the pipe for the first time. The engine was running very smoothly as the hull skimmed the surface of the water. Knowing catamarans do not heal in turns like a V-bottom boat does, I backed off the throttle at the end of the straight away to setup for the turn. With a smooth 180 degree turn at medium speed the boat was headed back towards the dock and the throttle was opened up with the expected result of lots of speed, flying water and the sweet sound of the wound-up piped Zenoah.
