http://www.euronews.net/ Turkey has reached agreement with Russia to allow a pipeline to be built under the Black Sea to transport Russian gas to Europe.

The deal, removing a major obstacle to the South Stream project, was signed in Moscow after talks involving both countries' governments and energy companies.

It follows prolonged deadlock between Russia and Turkey over the proposed route which runs through Turkish territorial waters.

  • @TurkishHegemony i'm not a politician.. i can express my point of view regardless.. or would you like to shoot people who speak the truth? lets say.. people like hrant dink. anyway.. no the black sea is not a turkish lake... and historically up until the 16th century wasn't.. anyway i think its a poor move by russia, they are a real super power unlike turkish "hegemony" more like turkey the satellite state of the west, if it wasn't for the funding of the west to turkey.. it would collapse.

  • @ZeeGooner Why are you sticking your filthy nose in Turkish-Russian matters armenian? The Black sea is historically a Turkish lake. The russian pipelines have to go trough Turkish territorial waters. Now get your ass educated about territorial waters.

  • @ZeeGooner look at the map again. Turkey has a much lager coastline to black sea than russia. But in anyway you would always need the approval of the country if you will be using their sea borders, they are as legimate as land borders when it comes to these issues. (Russia cant treathen turkey since turkey is a NATO country)

  • @2012fullmoon russia has pretty much a monopol for gas in europe. so what is that supposed to mean?

  • not a bad idea, and not a dumb move, this is more respectfull and looks good for russia.russia needs th e.u. to open up its markets.

  • why does russia need approval from turkey for the black sea.. this is utter nonsense.. the black sea is a russian lake. and has the strongest navy.. it doesnt need approval from anyone.. very dumb move by russia seeking approval from turkey

as they say.. russians are sleeping bears.. they dont know what is going on around them.. until it hits them really hard, then they retaliate when it is too late.

  • yey good job
