Rebecca shows how to defrost a turkey and how long it takes to prove the REAL time it takes to defrost a frozen turkey in the refrigerator. Rebecca uses a temperature probe to analyze the correct time to defrost a frozen turkey and compares it to the directions on the back of a turkey from the grocery store. Defrosting a turkey can be tricky, time consuming, and laborious. Knowing the correct time to thaw out a turkey is the key to make sure your turkey is not frozen, or partially frozen on your big dinner party day. Buying a frozen turkey is a great value, but defrosting a turkey, thawing a turkey, can be the biggest challenge that has pitfalls unless you have calculated the correct time it will take to defrost your big bird.

You are accurate on that, but Turkey's here at this time are: $0.57 per lb, if you buy $25 of groceries at a store called "Ralphs". Vons has them for $8 each if you buy $50 worth of food. And many more similar values...the stores call it a "Loss Leader" since it gets people in the stores to buy all that goes with the Turkey.

Wow... they are often FREE if you buy over $25 worth of groceries! It's a promotion to get you into the store!

Easiest way to thaw a turkey is to stick it into boiling hot oil. Do it outside if you're dumb enough to actually try.
