  • Great to see Guy and Candy are still going. I was a student under Guy in an apalachian music workshop in the fall of 1974 at Alice Lloyd college in KY. Wonderful people. A current friend of mine was one of the students at the lunch counter in 1960 Keep pickin buddy. Thanks for posting.

  • It was great to be there in person and witness Guy and Candy fighting on the side of good! I felt like I was watching a piece of history. And the audience (myself included) was loving every minute of it!

  • (smile)......

  • Guy was my teacher at Pitzer, a gentle soul with a great voice. Love to Candy and Guy!

  • 2003 I received their book Voices from the Mountains, I had to return to Australia in a rush. Maybe one day I shall meet these loverly people in person. I shall treasure their music and words forever. Thankyou for the gift and the opportunity to look into the lives of the people in the book, Jan Brisbane Australia

  • I played in a loosely organized "band" with their son, Evan, back in the late '80s. We played a kind of avant folk using synths, guitar, percussion, and hammered dulcimer. Good clean fun.

  • I grew up with Guy and Candy. They took me in, and took care of me like I was their own daughter. I havent spoken to them in years. Really glad you posted this!

  • Guy carawan did a concert at Occidental College on March 15, 2003.

We had participated in an anti war march in the rain that day.

Bess Lomax Hawes was there too.

    So sad the was started.

    So good to be there.

  • Wow, I never thought, that I would see Guy Caravan once more. I visited a concert 1976 in Germany - it was very interesting. Guy is one of the last great singer-songwriter from America.

    "The L & N don't stop ..." ;-)
