"Rock The Boat" was a disco song by the group The Hues Corporation in 1974. It is sometimes considered the first disco record to reach #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in the United States. "Rock The Boat" was featured on The Hues Corporation's 1973 album, "Freedom For The Stallion". It was written by Waldo Holmes and released on RCA Records. This channel is dedicated to all the great "old school" R&B music I grew up with, the stuff that originally made me tap my feet and want to be a DJ. Funk, soul, disco, R&B, dance, hip-hop, pop . . . 60s, 70s, 80s . . . whatever you call it, it's all "old school" and it's all here!
