  • go mary seacole

  • actually it was renamed after the revolution, not in 1453

  • You are quite right. I read her autobiographical "adventures" at college. Many soldiers adored her as a mother, healer and friend. She writes very well.

  • What a good insight this is

  • While I agree that Mary Seacole was a pioneer in her own right. FN, was the trailblazer, without her creating the modern profession of nursing there would not be a Mary Seacole or any other prominent nurse afterward.

  • :( Mary Seacole was the true Florence Nightingale .. She was not put down in history becaus she was black. Mary even recieved a medal from the King for her bravery..

  • Not Constantinapole,

    Istanbul since 1453...

  • What kind of gaps in accuaracy?

  • Some significant gaps in accuracy here but always good to get info out on the amazing FN.
