They don't work that way. You flip the light settings then sound the horn.

not unless the ditch lights were set up for long hood. there is a switch on the control stand in those ge's for short hood and long hood.

If you look real closely at 0:16, the back ditchlights were flashing, so I guess he had the wrong set on, lol.

Yes, however, on modern NS locomotives it is standard (automatic) for when the engineer sets the front lights off the back comes on automatically. But, yes! Needed to be on!

No nssd70m2, none what so ever. Not even the headlight. I would like to know if he ran it like that the whole trip.
