This is my new Trex 450 Sport Super Combo. Not having any other build to compare to I installed a CC BEC as instructed by fellow pilots. Now that the build is complete when the BEC is connected I get crackling and clicking noises from the servos as well as twitchy movement. When the ESC is plugged in without the BEC there is no noise or movement from the servos. What is the cause? Battery at 12V output, BEC at 5.1V output, and ESC is at 6.o5V output during this test.

  • if you have a castle link, try to set the output to 4.8, on the bec. this might help

  • Always bec if you a real heli pilot think this way if u esc dies u have no control with bec u can still auto rotate i dont have any heli that does not have a bec for 18 bucks its a good insurance

  • castle cremation

  • sick helicopter, your the first person Ive seen to use braided cable coverings, I did that to my computer. Great idea for r/c! glad to hear they replaced the bec. Take care, happy trails!

  • I have that same CC BEC on my Sport and consider it indispensible. Sorry I have no idea about the proper setup ( I had a pro do that for me) but I can definitely tell the difference in more consistant performance. When I'm loading the collective, working the cyclic and reversing the rudder everything can be counted on to respond as it should...just as it would in a hover. I won't own an electric heli without one again.

  • the bec...hm...only find out if you buy another one)))
