A short film about the people of Orissa, India. In a population of 40 million, 20 million people in Orissa live below the poverty line.

The film looks at the failing systems that contribute to this scandal. It also shows how Concern are bringing about change.

  • Now, the situation should be far more better. People's lifestyle is improving well in all Indian states. Poor rate will be 0% in India by the year 2015..

    Up to half a million people are still stranded by flood waters in the Indian state of Bihar, aid workers say. Monsoon rains caused the river Kosi to change course, severely affecting areas in Bihar not normally prone to floods. The authorities have been criticised for failing to rescue flood victims well over a week after the scale of the flooding became apparent.
