After several patrons and husbands, our heroine finds true love in the roguish highwayman Richard Johnson ..

Kim was awarded in 1955 for Best Young Actress to the Golden Globe.

The film was nominated for the BAFTA Film Award

I find the film visually and musically sophisticated.

Kim Novak gave several great performances : Picnic, Vertigo, and three movies in a row in the 60's: Of Human Bondage, Kiss Me Stupid, and this wonderful movie

Moll Flanders. If you see all 5 films you will not doubt Kim Novak one of the most under appreciated actresses in Hollywood.

Kim Novak and her leading man, Richard Johnson, married after completing this movie. The marriage lasted one year. Kim has been married to veterinarian, Robert Malloy, since 1976.
