Ok, ok. Not everything in this improvisation is shallow and trivial. I think the most exiciting idea and interesting part comes after 4:32.

Who among us can improvise like this?? Latry is a phenomenal organist! Truly a worthy successor to Pierre Cochereau (a legend indeed!!!). I'll agree that unless you can do better, keep your half-minded, half-informed, unintelligent comments to yourself. Some people's comments are "provocation" to those of us who can improvise and who love to hear guys like Latry. Vive l`Improvisation!!!

Until you can out-improvise one of the world's greatest organists(!), I suggest you stop making such arrogant comments, claiming to be the expert on the subject!

Modern French organ improvisation needs a reorientation. They should rethink the balance between the core and the accessories. At the moment the latter hides the former. Heavy clouds of perfume and loads of stuffy plush can also fill 15 minutes of improvisation.
Sometimes I wonder if they just make fun of the undemandingness of the audience. Cheap money. Imo it should not be called "Improvisation" it should be called a "Provacation"
