This is my blues instrumental Movin' and Groovin' presented for your listening pleasure.

This time I am playing a very rare and wonderful guitar the 1965 Baldwin-Burns Jazz Guitar with the "Split Sound" and "Wild Dog" settings. This was built by Burns of London and imported into the United States by the Baldwin piano company.

  • I love those burns guitars, if I could find one I would buy one, but seems those who have them never let them go ;) Well played!

  • Thanks for the compliment. You are right, I am never selling mine!

    Bill

  • Thanks Marshall! Plenty more where that came from so keep listening.

Catch you on the flip side bro.

  • I have this guitar 1965 jazz split sound with original hard case. I love it. It's tremendous fun to play. I have a short in the tone nob that looks like it's alien technology. Does anyone know where I can find the schematic?

  • does anyone know how much one of the burns models are worth?

  • Nice playing man, beautiful baldwin too.

I have a 65 baby bison and a 67 baby bison, would never part with them, unique and great, all the best!

  • I have the exact same guitar. I traded a Harmony electric for it in 1967. It was a used 1965 Balwin (Burns) Jazz guitar. Gotta love the "Wild Dog" pickup position.

Many inovative features, zero fret, worm gear truss rod adjustment, and the roller bearing bridge and tremolo system.

I still have mine, but seldom play it.

I chose this over a Les Paul gold top at the time. I paid more for this one $458 !

At the time it was the right choice.

Thought I would share my Burns/Baldwin story.

  • nice very loose bluesy beat and sweaty sticky guitar playing very nice

  • I Gave ER A 5 Bill Man You Got Some Fine Guitars Oh Yea I Posted This One Too Thanks For The Jams Bro!!!
