@yokelz Actually, Finnish Lapphunds have curved tails when they move around (when they're standing relaxed, they don't have to).. When they are puppies they might not carry it. I have a puppy that is now seven months old and she mostly carries her tail, but did not do it two months ago. If she is a Finnish Lapphund she should start carrying it when she grows older. If she won't then it will be counted as a mistake in a dog show. It's in the definition of the breed (at least in Finnland).

Onko tää mistä kennelistä?

@PrideVIII I agree. This is a Finnish Spitz. Finnish Lapphunds have a double coat: a soft under coat, and a long, coarse top coat, which makes for a fluffy, mane-like tuft of fur. Lappies have long fur, no exceptions. Perhaps this is a mixed breed?

haha gotta love those noises he makes

Hmm, looks more like a golden lab than any lappy I've seen but I guess I've only seen show bred ones... I'm sure it's as lovely as they all are :)

I'm pretty sure thats a Finnish Spitz.... Finnish Lapphunds are ALOT more fluffy at that age even though they can be that colour.

there are difrent kinds...

that does not look like a finnish lapphund

Minulla on myös tällainen kerma/keltainen, mikä tästä lieneekään kasvanut.

Crazy dog =P But is this really a finnish lapphund? I have a finnish lapphund puppy myself at 13 weeks and he doesnt look anything like this one. I thought that all finnish lapphunds had curved tails? I never seen any fl's having short hair either. Have you cut his hair maybe?
Beautiful dog! :)

Yes it really is :-) Not all of them have curved tails and there is some variation in the hair length too, it's not cut.
