The overture Benvenuto Cellini by Berlioz performed by the Leicestershire Schools Symphony Orchestra in 1981. The conductor is Peter Fletcher and the somewhat basic sound was captured on a "Ghetto Blaster" by one of the players. Despite the limited sound the performance is still worth hearing.
One of my favorite overtures of all time! I wish Benvenuto Cellini were still commonly performed- I've heard recordings and would LOVE to see the whole thing live!
