  • Quick question- Weren't they The Rollers as opposed to BCR by the time of this broadcast? But yet here they're still being billed as BCR. That must've been annoying for the band as they were clearly trying to re-establish themselves post- Les. Also Eric has a moustache (!) and appears a little chunky as opposed to other appearances around the same time.

  • @crapple009 They had dropped the "Bay City" by this time. If I'm not mistaken, it took some time for people to get the whole transition of "Bay City" to just "Rollers." Eric looks fabulous with the mustache. Whether it was on purpose or not, I think it is great that Eric (and the rest of them) changed their look to reflect the change in the direction of their music.

  • Now I can watch this - it's syncretized! I love watching the Rollers! Derek really rocks in this one.

  • I love this one too, Judy! I love watching Eric play that giant hollowbody Gibson!

  • Agreed- change is not only good but also healthy, especially for creative ones. As for the moustache though, it was a slightly odd choice (at least for me, anyway) because it didn't really fit in with the image and sound they were going for (skinny ties/straight-legged trousers, shorter hair i.e. a power pop/ new-wave style). Not that it matters of course- the music's what really matters.

  • I've still got the same model (and colour) bass Woody's playing here- a burgandyglo '79 Rickenbacker 4001 paid for by a paper route as a 14 year-old. Great choice, Woody- looking good!!!

  • brutal vocals ...sorry never was a duncan fan ... cheap trick did the "whine" factor much better at this point in time

  • I love it too.....woody looks so hot in this vide!!

  • You always seem to know what guitar he's playing. Then I get to know!
