IMINAMI - from mother to smother

...is a performance installation that brings together deadly myths of killing mothers and the concept of memory spaces. In three chambers, the visitors encounter the memory of female ghosts who murdered their own flesh. A female protagonist performs materials based on this myth that is known in almost every culture: La Llorona in Mexico, Onryo in Japan, die Weisse Frau in Germany, etc. Using interactive video systems, that space becomes interface to the memory architecture that hosts fragments of image and sound related to the myths.
