Man From UNCLE: The Steve McQueen Affair

Solo and Illya fantasize their way through Steve McQueen movies. Made for Pavlowsdog, the wonderful supplier of lovely uncle videos who has not seen a Mcqueen movie and therefore has never seen Mr McCallum in his RAF uniform or Mr Vaughn in his very nice cowboy hat.
The idea is that Illya and Solo want to impress each other, but feel insecure, bless them , that they're not cool enough and so are pretending to be all suave and McQueenish.

This is brilliant! It's just amazing how the scenes seem to blend so seamlessly. My favorite individual shots are DM's wink at 1:12 and RV's "why me?" look at 0:25. Of course I also like DM's flying karate kick at 2:11 and RV's funny little hop at 0:47 (in his very nice cowboy hat). Actually I liked every bit of it. Did you really do it without even having the MFU DVD's? We should all take up a collection and get them for you so you can continue to make great vids like this.

Thanks :-) Glad you liked it. I love the little ' why me?' look too. Fortunatly I have now been able to *cough* acquire all of UNCLE, thanks to American help as its not out in the UK yet.

Glad you liked it :-) That shot is from a Man from UNCLE, I think ' The Prince of Knaves affair', but I could be wrong... but yes I agree there should be a whole feature length movie full of Robert Vaughn in Uniforms of the world. :-)

I actually think Robert Vaughn is the coolest man who ever lived, eg being shot in remagen and swatting flies in Magnificent 7.

I think my brain exploded from the geniusness of this vid - I had never realized how many stylistic similarities there were between MFU and the various McQueen movies Robert Vaughn and David McCallum appeared in. Awesome work!
