President Soekarno on the Beatles

CBS interviewed President Soekarno of Indonesia in Jakarta in late 1965. In this interview, one of three CBS's most talented journalist (Bernard Kalb and Pete Kalischer) asked Soekarno's comment on the Beatles.

Hey, I know/knew who Soekarno was. The fact that he was made "President For Life" shows a lot about what kind of person he was, and how screwed up the Indonesian political system was. Strangely enough, most men who become "President For Life" are usually known as tyrants or alternately, dictators. Revolution? More like governing by dictatorship, actually.
