Black Sabbath - Heaven and Hell

Black Sabbath has been so influential in the development of heavy metal rock music as to be a defining force in the style. The group took the blues-rock sound of late '60s acts like Cream, Blue Cheer, and Vanilla Fudge to its logical conclusion, slowing the tempo, accentuating the bass, and emphasizing screaming guitar solos and howled vocals full of lyrics expressing mental anguish and macabre fantasies. If their predecessors clearly came out of an electrified blues tradition, Black Sabbath took that tradition in a new direction, and in so doing helped give birth to a musical style that continued to attract millions of fans decades later.

@AZsportshut I disagree because those songs you mention are the most popular songs by black Sabbath, you have to check out other songs that, in my opinion are also great, like symptom of the universe, or sweet leaf. BTW long live Dio \m/!!!!!!

@guitarninslim Dio was great, and technically, was a more talented singer than Ozzy. I believe Ozzy was better for BS because his voice was a little darker, but Dio was a better heavy metal singer; and in no way did he contribute to Glam metal.

Also dio sucks. The band had a REAL dark feel with ozzy. Dio was just a wannabe rockstar midget. Because of Dio, there was gay hairbands who wore lipstick and pink fishnet. Thanks Dio
