The heroin is more readily available than one cheap, unrewarding miniature *meal* if you're homeless and heroin covers up not only hunger pangs, it's a better proposition because of the many other immediate pains it blocks out.
Liquor helps too!

All of the pictures where shot in Vancouver. Mostly Down Town and on the East Side. I lived on Seymour at the time, and seen most of them on a daily basis. I got to know quite a few of them fairly well. Good people, with an unfortunate situation...
