College athletes shouldn't get paid. The tier levels is what makes for the journey. Pop-Warner and Pee-Wee football, Middle or Junior High School, High School, College and then the Pros. Once they start paying collegiate athletes, they will sully the power of that specific tier. Let college athletes push hard while annually having to earn it academically, etc. When they get ready to jump to pro league play, they would have earned it based upon the powerful merit of competing for their pro spot.

College is for people who want to improve the future, not people who selfishly drain society of culture & resources.
