Getting a message out to the world is a far more effective way of working towards peace then blowing up cars...I think Batshevasmile is wrong. There is nothing ineffectual or rhetorical about drawing peoples attention to hope.

Hanan Ashrawi should be President of the Palestinians. But, as usual, they never miss an opportunity to miss an opportunity. Why so? Because she is a diplomatic (instead of a lunatic), she is a WOMAN (obvious) and she is a CHRISTIAN. Just the person to help to end the madness in the Middle East and bring about DEMOCRACY to the suffering people who just want to live a decent life.

Besides Prof. Edward Said and other few Palestinians, Dr.Hanan M. Ashrawi, is the most atriculate voice of the Palestinian struggle. No doubts, she is the best to articulate the feelings of on an occupied nation.
People (especially in the West)and the international media turns their ears to Dr.Ashrawi to make sense of the current political events whenevr wherever breaks in Palestine, as much for her aboslute honesty, clarity and vision.
