Rome Hartman says Lesley Stahl and her "60 Minutes" team are working on a story on Ed Bradley's career for tonight's newscast. Bradley succumbed to leukemia at 65.
Ed Bradley you will NEVER be forgotten! What a great role model for black men, hence for all men, women, children, etc. What a great journalist. A man who was genuine in his concern for mankind. While we mourn, we are also blessed by the contributions h made to our society.
How sad to hear that Ed has pased away. Though I only knew him from the programs made on 60 Minutes, he seem to have been a very nice and caring person. He had indeed integrity.
May he rest in peace.
Condolences here from the Danish- German border region to all the people who knew Ed personally.
Few reporters have true class most, are shallow yes-men for golabalist propaganda. But, not Ed Bradley. I was with CBS-TV and there is alot of good and well meaning people in the media who do care about our nation and the planet and Mr. Bradley was one of them. A very rare and wonderful person. God be with you Sir.
Rest in Peace Ed, your generation of African American is leaving us, you all were so strong and decent. I hope the legacy of your struggles, your sacrifices and your dreams lives on forever in heaven and earth
Ed Bradley: an exceptional journalist and a heroic individual...unless you were a contemporary, you may have difficulty understanding how extraordinary it was for a non-conforming black man could become such an icon of mainstream news....never underestimate those individuals who come before us, believe, it was NOT a walk in the park...there is no WOW: it was incredible self-control, integrity and POWERFUL individual courage....

It is a bad loss for journalism. Ed Bradley was a very fine reporter and interviewer. Condolences to his family and friends.
