I'm young and i say we make it hard to get into these top jobs..schools prepare you for basic jobs i feel like nobody pushes you to be the top scientist..school teaches a lot of unnecessary shit, they need to set a path for kids to be able to get these jobs

we have better access to higher education than anywhere else in the developed world. Who cares if our high school students don't outperform other countries, we have way more access

to higher education whitch is the kind of education that actually makes money. I don't think many people got rich because of their 10th grade pre-calculus grades. Yeah it costs money, which is rare, but you don't have to pay up front, and there's tons of financial aide, so at any rate their barriers to entry are low
