That's realy great! Next time use watercolor paper. It's better and make the black part of the eye a bit bigger and add white hilights to the eyes. I'm currently doing a lion watercolor lol

Yes, this was my initial idea as it worked for stretching the paper.

But the iron method sounds like a good shortcut.

Will try on scrap paper to see if the pigments react to heat.
