It's absurdly verbose, ill-researched and projecting a shit-ton of nonsense, lies and incorrect insinuations into the Venus Project. No, we are not encouraging acceptance of a dictatorship or "one world government" whatsoever. We propose NO GOVERNMENT, whatsoever. By this we mean no human being will be told what to do or forced to participate. A resource based economy can be built by volunteer efforts entirely. This article is a mix of bullshit, slander (misrepresentation) and free market dogma.

@Seabrali I might be mixing this up with another Zeitgeist video, but how are you proposing no government at all and advocating not telling people what to do by suggesting the abolition of all religion and 'voluntary' population control? I'm also pretty amazed that with all of Jacque's knowledge of how the world operates, he doesn't say a thing about the freemason or bohemian illuminati, whose symbolism is rampant in the media, and even in the zeitgeist movies.

@youkilledkiller22 We don't suggest the abolition of religion. In an RBE, people would have free access to education, so most superstitions would subside. There's no way to "abolish" religion except thru education about science, comparative religion, etc. to give a person a broad enough exposure to be able to understand which methods of evaluation work and which don't. Birth control will be made available and school curriculums will include information about the dangers of overpopulation.

Anybody should first inform about PROJECT VENUS, and about what this man really mean to say. Then give his/hers opinion, otherwise U`ll be asking question already answered, and stop bothering by talking nonsense about Zeitgeist, Jacque or THE VENUS PROJECT without a real argument or proof, it only shows how little U know.

The main point behind the Venus Project is to divert all the energy, resources and labor into projects that function to empower people, rather than wasting it on bombs, subs and guns. Imagine if all the money invested into the military industrial complex were instead used on high-speed rail systems from major city to major city? Imagine if the technology and engineers who work on high-tech weapons worked on clean, efficient power plants, etc?

@youkilledkiller22 Thomas Jefferson's ideals were very good, based on his environment and his limited knowledge of the world at that time. People go back to his words but fail to see that Jefferson himself had too much faith in governance over people (even limited governance) to understand it can't stay limited. Governments and States cannot keep themselves in check and always gravitate towards corruption, war profiteering and greed.

@Seabrali It feels to me that the Zeitgeist movement is just replacing God with man, and glorifying mans ability to reason. That's where I ultimately part ways with it. Thanks for talking with me, but I think I'll look for a different solution, maybe based somewhere in Thomas Jeffersons' idealism.
