do whales have feelings?

Simple question, do you think whales have feelings? A mother humpback appears so gentle with its calf as if showing that human emotion - love. Recently on the Discovery Channel they showed mother humpbacks getting between boats and their calf, probably just a protective instinct, or is it.
I think whales as well as other animals have feelings and the thought of these majestic creatures dying due to the oil spill in the gulf is a crime.

I think God gave most animals a cerain level on emotion. I also think when the whale breeches it's thinking "CANNONBALL!" :) The latest I've heard on the spill is that a fleet of clean up barges was delayed so that the feds could inspect for lifevests & fire extiguisher. How ridiculous is that?

@MrBudwv do you think the head of BP flew on a corporate jet to sail his yacht? When Saddam lit the oil fields on fire there was an out cry about the pollution, no BP has polluted the bottom of the Gulf, mid level with oil plumes, beaches and wet lands while the coast guard is now burning 10's of thousands of oil, the long black smoke darkening the sky. What next?

So I give an ultimatium. Good or Evil? Enternal life or Eternal death in hope that one day before it is too late he will be uneasy enough to seek redemption. @MrBudwv I know thats nothing new but I was never thought I would be hated as a kid when I told someone about my beliefs. only that the other person might be uncomfortable. now it seems that people like to blame religion for everything including war, money, and politics in other counties. when all of these problems are just differences of ideals. if religion stoped today in a matter of years people will find some reason to wage war on eachother.

@ninjaturtletyke55555 I can't compromise. Our world is in the shape it is because we compromised. The fear of God is the begining of wisdom. I'm not always that blunt. In fact I usually am the one telling people the bible is not a club. But when I'm lead to be firm I'm firm. I said what I said because that is what that person needed. thats all I know.

@MrBudwv thats kool but you have to remember that the devil will leave us to argue with eachother. you may have good intentions but you have to re read what you wrote and look at it from others perspective. because you are telling them that all they grew up to believe in is wrong and they are going to suffer for eternity for it. people who are scared into believing something are lead to believe that things are going to be easier because of their new beliefs.

I set a challange & asked the one true God to answer in a certain way. Jesus gave that answer. I respect creation. We are stewarts of this world for now.

@MrBudwv also weather not evolution of any kind exsist is not really important because god said that he will reveal whats important at his on accord(not in those words). what if god has this riddle that he will reveal to us. all im saying is you cant stick to what you learned in sunday school because this isint a religion. its a relationship with god. he will lead you but you have to work for it, and you cant do that by telling people off for what they believe in.

well almost all animals have sometype of emotional feelings that acctually help them survive in the wild. its known as adrenaline, but lots of animals have what you might call pointless emotions like what dogs and us have. these emotions alow you to think abstractly. so adrenaline is instinct and the other is abstract, and most animals with a decent sized brain have both I think.

@MrBudwv man saying your going to go to hell for not believing in what im believing is the worst way to get people to see things from your perspective. believing in god is not a safe gaurd to make sure you arnt going to hell because if you are going to look at it from that perspective than you are seeing the expression "god fearing" wrong. it doesint mean fear him it means respect him which is what i think he means with love your neighbor. respect your neighbor(your fellow man).dont grow bitter.
