Carolyn Raffensperger, environmental attorney and founding executive director of the Science and Environmental Health Network, speaks in this Enviro Close-up of how the wise application of science is critical to the protection of the environment and public health. And she stresses the importance of the Precautionary Principle -- key elements include taking precautions in the face of scientific uncertainty; exploring alternatives to possibly harmful actions and placing the burden of proof on proponents of an activity. Enviro Close-Up #584
Very interesting and informative.
Precautionary Principle just makes common sense and
our government and capitalist structure needs to be challenged
in order for all of our health and welfare, ALL humans, animals, the earth...

environmental health professionals are making a fortune by ignoring the history of people with environmental sensitivities, ignoring clinical ethics, and reinventing 'do no harm' as the precautionary principal when it always existed. it is great example of how dogooders are the worst sabateurs of persons with environmental problems. What a dingbat!!! Irresponsible and dangerous!
