But the fact that one lags out and the other is "somehow" booted from gameplay makes you story quite suspicious.

This isn't the "cloned player" that is referred to in modding. This, in no way shape or form, is a mod.
I wouldn't even consider this a glitch.
My theory as to why this happened is as follows.
When said person died then lagged out, there was probably a split second which enabled the player in your game to respawn even after he was no longer in game. This happens a lot.
A player loses an internet connection to Xbox Live and their player stands at the spawn point.

umm its easy to make a clone doing that you put 10% damage resistance on, have a soccer ball roll into you and take your sheilds down, and get on a turret and then break it off and theres a clone.... nothin new..

dude clones dont have weps on halo 3 and one have carbine while other has assault rifle

this is more a halo 2 type clone. with wepons. not the CmNeir turret clone this one didnt dissapear. this one dies..... if you shoot it anyway
