  • @superdave31 it was millepede which he founded in australia.

personally i dont think this really does anything that couldnt be done by something else.but thats neither here nor there.

its interesting that john shuttleworth who runs millepede is complaining of patent infringement now.!

its only because andrew got an investment and has landed a large contract that suddenly there is an infringement.?

  • @MrArnold1972 well.. whatever floats your boat as they say lol. Cant see it myself to be honest! :p I read that this company may be in serious trouble - he supposedly owned a company before.. (and made the rap a strap) then left or got thrown out or something.. now after making this he has infringed on the patents of his own ex company!! So will be interesting to see what happens

  • @superdave31 apparently there has been a re-usable strip in the united states for years, but thats another debate.

Some of the people that go in there dont have the right mentality to be "great" inventors.

Money generating inventors yes but never "great" inventors.

They have rejected some very good inventions and then invest in shite like puddings and stupid things like that.

I must admit i do find deborah meaden attractive for some strange reason lol.

  • @MrArnold1972 some of the ideas do make me laugh. I call an inventor someone like james dyson. Some of the products thart people come up with they have taken someones idea and adjusted it a bit. Theres nothing wrong with doing that if it improves it (assuming no patent infringement..) but its when they call themselves an inventor after stealing someone elses idea!! If i was on there 1 person i wouldnt go with is james cann, the bloke just anoys me with the way he is.

  • @superdave31 well the thing is its selling so there must be a large market for it.

once you have used the strap 4 or 5 times this is still going to be wasted.

Its an excellent idea but not the best ive seen in the den.

Personally i like the waterbuoy product.

And some of the crap the dragons invest in is amazing.

These so-called "inventors" dont really have a vested interest in the public all they want to do is get rich.

  • @MrArnold1972 good point, why did no one mention sellotape. The only thing i can think tho is out dooes sellotape gets weak with rain? whereas plastic wont

  • i gota admit i still think the other type of strap (i forget what its called) does look a lot stronger than rap strap (tho i may be wrong). ALso tho.. he says it uses less plastic.. but then you have to argue it is wider and uses more plastic in width instead of length tho still uses less plastic

  • Theo did not invest in this, because it was too soft to withstand the pressure of him pulling it apart. Andy said that the softness of this product corresponds to the preference of some markets he was targeting. Considering how well Rapstrap is doing, i.e., a dramatic increase of sales and market targets, would anyone say that they are able to use different materials to make it into a stronger product? Perhaps the days, not everyone would be wanting a soft product.

  • hahaah he came in casstte boy vs dragons den

  • @rawrrr546 amazing.
