@ClaysSTO I'll second what u said when I saw it at the Hult Center here in Eugene two years ago with John O'Hurley as King Arthur the part with the Knights of Ni mentions that their coats are made of 100% Oregon State Beaver (LOL! Eugene is home to the University of Oregon Ducks, the Oregon State Beavers rival school)

The cast of Spamalot were so great in playing off each other -- words changed when they could "milk" something. Eric Idol, I think, changed the words to the song (or maybe it was Mike Nichols), to "play" off Clay's American "Idol" experience. And Clay is one talented man who could hit those notes. I loved Spamalot and the whole cast!

@vampirelove75 Exactly. I feel they changed it just because he is who he is. While he is an incredibly talented man--who has a voice beyond anything I've ever heard--I just think it was a bit much. Should of left well enough alone.

@ihavepsychicpowers agreed. i think he was a good casting choice and i like him as sir robin, but changing the song just for him was a bit much.

I think it's... and you can hear my golden larynx ring....

can anyone tell me what clay first sings before the yodel?

I like Clay and all. He is an amazingly talented guy. But I have to say--I am not used to the change they made in this song. lol.
I adore Clay Aiken but I can't hear half the stuff he's singing because...the audience adore him as well!!!

If you have seen Spamalot more than once, you know that the show changes nightly---and with who is in the starring roles. It makes it funner and great for the fans.
