Last night I was staying in the Sparta Hotel in Piraeus. Very Spartan...

At 3.00 in the morning I was wide awake for some reason. Mostly because of a particularly persistent mosquito. So I decided to edit the first draft version of my little film of the vets' visit to Hydra this week. In an important initiative, they came to take care of the island's mules and donkeys.

This is only a first version. I shall add a commentary, and hopefully an interview with the two doctors. I shall also do further editing and correction.

This first version will then be replaced by a final version.

I take this opportunity to inform you that the next HYDRA DONKEY CONFERENCE will be held in Hydra on the weekend of 8-9 October 2011.
