  • @sossma Sometimes young people are compelled to learn something that seems pointless to them at the time. The value is realized later in life. Mark Twain remarked "Why is youth wasted on the young."

  • We had to perform this speech in school and I never appreciated it until I was able to sit and listen to without trying to memorize it.  Lincoln's sentiment was beautifully expressed.
