Muhammad Abu Askar, a longtime member of Hamas' Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, appeared before the Goldstone Panel arguing that his house had been "unjustly" blown up by Israel. No one bothered to ask him whether Hamas munitions were being stored in his house.
The IDF reported that Abu Askar's house served as a storage facility for large stockpiles of weapons and ammunition, including Iranian-supplied Grad rockets that had been used against Israeli cities like Ashkelon, Ashdod, and Beersheba. The Izz al-Din al-Qassam website disclosed that Khaled Abu Askar, Muhammad's son, provided Hamas operatives with rockets and military equipment.
The Abu Askar case is one of many incidents where the Goldstone team refused to consider that Hamas was exploiting civilian areas to gain military advantage.
Israel gave advanced warning to Hamas members before attacks and avoided civilian casualties. Judge Richard Goldstone and Amb. Dore Gold discussed the UN report on Gaza war crimes at Brandeis University on Nov. 5, 2009.

The UN Gaza Report is the most vicious indictment of the State of Israel
bearing the seal of the United Nations since the UN General Assembly adopted
its infamous "Zionism is Racism" resolution in 1975, which it subsequently
repealed. A special session of the 47-member UN Human Rights Council called
for establishing the Fact-Finding Mission that prepared the report through the
adoption of Resolution S-9/1 on January 12, 2009. The special session was
convened at the request of Cuba, Egypt, and Pakistan. Resolution S-9/1 was
notably passed with the support of Russia, China, Arab/Islamic and third world
countries, but not with that of a single Western democracy like Canada and the
member states of the European Union.
It was the president of the Human Rights Council who established the UN Fact-Finding
Mission in April 2009 to investigate Israeli military operations in Gaza between
December 27, 2008, and January 18, 2009. He subsequently appointed Justice
Richard Goldstone to head the mission. Its report was published in September.

IDF soldiers themselves admit that during Cast Lead, they were encouraged to shell every house as a "warning". Dore, you're a smooth talker and an intelligent man, but you're full of shit...

If ground troops are brought in, it would be seen as an act of war. The Israelis did the right thing trying to avoid unnecessary casualties. You talk about how cruel israel is... well, how would you feel if your neighbor kept shooting at your house, kidnapping your pets, and blowing your yard up. That is an example, but I think it is fairly accurate. Go on and talk about how israel is full of bullies and how the poor poor rocket-wielding mujahadeen who exploit and attack civilians are victims.

How about sending in ground troops to and visualizing your intended targets, rather than droping bombs on entire building in densely popoulated areas? No that would mean minumizing collateral damage and makes no sense if you are trying to kill as many Arabs as possible. Full of shit!!

If Islamists desire death so much, what's the problem with helping them out. It's a kindness, it would seem.
