I don't have kids, so I don't care about massive education cuts. If I did have a kid, I would tell him not to go to college. This recession isn't going away. In 4 years there aren't going to be too many jobs but there are going to be a lot of collection agencies trying to collect on student loan debt.

Imagine less than 3% of the population of CA paying for almost 100% of tuition of the engineering and science majors of UC schools! Not only do Asians pay billions of dollars to UC schools in tuition, but also when we graduate we pay billions more in taxes when we get high tech jobs. Now CA wants to increase our taxes!!! And for what? for more illegals? who never graduate from high school, let alone college!!!
