    Well, I agree with much of your assessment, although if Kim Deal is responsible for actually writing Pixies' bass lines herself then she deserves a massive amount of credit. The bass lines on songs such as, for example, Break my Body and Alec Eiffel, amongst many others, are simply peerless, in spite of their simplicity.
