Thanks for the great videos bro.. You've done an excellent work. proofs of what this camera is capable of. Last month Panasonic release the new additions to the line up(FZ40 AND FZ100). Im hoping to go for the FZ100, We'll see whether new one can match the great FZ35.

Hello! Thank you for all the great demo videos of the DMC-FZ38. I have a Question regarind the white stripes (vertical) that apperars when hard light (from a small but bright source) reaches the sensor of the camera. From what I can see in this video and also in other clips made with it, the senser is not capable to handle this. Instead there are white lines from the top to the bottom of the screen. Is this showing up in "all" compact / longzoom-cameras or just in some of them. Its really sad.

@rymdskrotet The white lines can be eliminated with a ND filter, which i purchased after shooting with the camera. I dont know about other compact/longzoom cameras but this flaw varies depending on the censor in the camera.

@Dimitry49 Thank you for your quick answer! I have also heard about the possibility to use a ND filter, but I was not sure if this only was a rumor. Would you be able to record a glimmering sea or something similar where the purple/white stripes would appear and then put on the ND filter, using the same settings so I can see the result. Is there a big change? =)
