@1986simonchapman got it all on now mate? How much power you got now? :P
-
@jarrus464 its a type RA v2 - got it for a bargin really as is mint and was fully standard (which is what i was after and is hard to find these days), that was a month or so ago, since then have purchased a new re-built engine, new g-reedy clutch, new Z4 ECU, new HKS BOV, new HKS induction, Apexi mass air flow arm, Scorpion Exhaust system (cat back), and hopefully by this weekend i should have my replacement TD05H 20G turbo (twin scroll) and should hopefully be picking up a boost controller
-
@1986simonchapman Specifically what model is your scooby?
-
@jarrus464 haha exactly i tend to do mine more regularly than that, to play it safe i do one every month - keeps it nice and healthy plus always a good excuse to give it a lil service (if necessary) at the same time - which is quite costly when you look at the price of oil these days!! yea that sounds about right, i mean i paid 1600 for my scooby, 400 for my pug.. then you get to 350Z prices.. lol.. but however, they are far much more of a car - you certainly get what you pay for imo
-
@1986simonchapman Yeah, 3000miles between oil changes.... bloody hell...lol, and yes the price difference between them is rather massive, a good 350z is about £8000 these days?
-
@jarrus464 i know what you mean there, not to mention the costs involved with maintenance as they are highly tuned from the beginning.
350Z are lovely, theres one that parks directly opp me at home, cant help but look everytime - and having come from its Z predocessor the 300ZX it is certainly a lovely car. Just a shame they are on somewhat of a different price scale lol
-
@1986simonchapman No doubt, I do find though that jap cars are a bit "soulless" if you know what I mean,
They are extremely capable tools, but that is all they are, instruments for going fast, I like to "drive" without haveing a computer to help me, I respect them but have no love for them.
Having said that though there is 1 jap car I would buy with my own money and that's a 350Z, a bit different from the normal computerised 4WD stuff you usually get, I think it's bloody fantastic...
-
@jarrus464 oh totally agreed, GTi6's are brilliant cars - JC gave a brilliant review on TG for it, it just takes a lot of money and effort to get it passed the boundaries whereas jap performance is so much easier and cost less in the interim till you reach true high performance standard - even since my last post a month ago I am now running a little over 400bhp for only a little of £500 of investment, granted now i need better brakes as brake fade is a constant issue but none the less... :)
-
@1986simonchapman I do like scoobies, but the GTI6 is a real car also, rave reviews from motoring magazines like EVO and Autocar proves it's a brilliant motor
-
@jarrus464 doesnt matter now.. ditched that idea and the pug is now gone - did the sensible thing and bought a real car.. a scooby RA which already has 300bhp... :)
is this a 1.4?i'm thinking on doing the same on my 306...can you tell me what moddifications he did and what horsepower he got?
