Byker Grove was finished to me when all the original characters left and Billy Fane.What it became was a joke with crap actors and stupid storylines.I still think it's wrong that its being turned into an Islamic place of worship.I'd rather see it burnt down instead of letting that lot have it.

The set of Byker Grove (formerly The Mitre pub) has been sold to the Islamic community at a severely cut down price. It will be turned into an Islamic school against the wishes of the native community.

@bubblesandextra This show was depressing and a bloody waste of time, I don't know why I ever watched it and the theme was embarrassing to listen to. I am glad BG is dead and gone it was a load of guff, and PJ and Duncan were silly billies who I could not stand at all.

Excellent series, one of the first to realise teenagers could be gay. This caused outrage when Noddy (Brett Adams) kissed his mate. At least people realised being gay was not wrong and more common than people think! Shame the series had to end. Brett & Grant Adams are now in Velvet Stone - a rock group. We all know what happend to PJ&Duncan after their Grove Matrix single, they were very lucky as they met on set through their love of football !
