@Stylaz21 Don't worry. It's mostly Federer haters that can't understand or are simply ignoring/dismissing Federer as the GS king. It's especially evident this year with Djokovic. His fans drool over his success of winning 3 slams in one year, yet don't realize Federer won 3 slams 3 different seasons, and 2 slams 2 seasons, not to mention 3 other slams he's won and been to so many other finals and 24 or 25 straight semis. Federer's era is as tough as any, he is just that good.

Nalbandian was so fucking gorgeous and sexy before he let his hair grow out

this game was the true final of the AO2004, like the Safin-Federer was the true final of AO2005

2 geniuses... im proud to have witnessed their era.

I can't understand when people say Federer had weak competition watching a match like this. Nadal and Djokovic might not have been around at this point, but the complete field of competition was better back then with players such as Nalbandian, Hewitt, Roddick, Safin, Agassi, Moya, Blake, Coria, Ljubicic, Grosjean, Davydenko etc. And playing a tournament doesn't mean you have to beat one guy, it's based on 5/6/7 matches.

When either Safin or Nalbandian played their best against prime Fed nothing came quiet close imo, the Safin-Federer match in AO 05 was maybe the best match i´ve ever seen. And Nalbandians backhand was momentarily by far the best in the world, but he was too inconsistent like so many others and so was his backhand.

if Nalbandian only had a decent serve... god knows what he could have done

@tolendoi123 he was fast and explosive with lots of spring. I guess he improved on power to become no.1, variety seems not enough he realised. Now his weak shots made me think he is going back to 2002, but a smarter federer than a teenage one in 2002, playing short points.

damn!! look at roger's SPEED at that time he's like dashing on court
A Federer/Nalbandian match is so enjoyable to watch. Both play aggressive, with both beautiful technique, hard hitting but also a lot of variety.
I miss those matches, they were far better to watch than nadal, verdasco, murray...

i think federer and nalbandian not only gives u goosebumps from their shot making, and variety, but also makes you learn more about tennis, and shows that it is just not all about power and baseline rallies only........after these great players retire........i really hope the next future players are not all base liners and power hitters..........
