Burning life as training grounds for Black Rock Rangers.
Philip; "It's interesting how many of our disputes as human beings are over information, they are disputes that concern the way we build the world around us, and then the way those worlds intersect with each other. I bet that there are people listening to this thinking well wait a minute now why would they need Rangers in Second Life...but you do, because a lot of the challenges that we see strike that that we have in the real world turn out to be not really over atoms, they're over bits."
The group also answers an audience question: What are the major positive differences between Burning Man and Second Life?
Burning Man founder Larry Harvey and Second Life founder Philip Rosedale discuss Burning Life 08, now an official Burning Man Regional, with Burning Man Board Member Danger Ranger, and Dusty Linden. See Burninglife.Secondlife.com
This discussion of "atoms" & "bits" I find quite profound; These people are right on target in their perception of the intersection of the digital and material worlds. Those who are not prepared for their future fusion may face extinction in the evolution of our species.

As a performer at SL's Burning Life, I thought the rangers did an amazing job. Obviously the training that Dusty did paid off. I had a griefer pop in during my set and the ranger took care of it immediately and in a way that wasn't disruptive to the event. Thanks!!
