He did not pull the tether- it only tightens to level her wings while they are still running. What happened was her left wing entered the ridge (dune) lift before her right (paired with a high angle of attack).

@rocketman3045 i dont fly hangglider, but u can clearly see how she shifts her weight to the left while the instructor pulls the rope (look how it tightens!)

that guy was like you wont have a successful take off as long as im around, so he made sure to jerk that right line and pull her down. What a prick

The student pilots hands should be on the down tubes for better control

Not flying with enough speed pulled on! so yeah, stalled all the way!

The instructor made it worse by not releasing that line. If he was good, he would have been on the other line in time to keep the student from doing a face plant.
That was lame..
