Kevin Tarte in St.Petersburg. A walk with the vampire

The eldest vampire of Europe Kevin Tarte has visited St. Petersburg. In the German version of "Tanz der Vampire" he has been performing the leading part of Graf von Krolock for 11 years. The invitation for St. Petersburg premiere of the show was presented to him by his Russian colleague Ivan Ozhogin when the latter visited Kevin in summer. The most eminent vampire of the Old World has not only attended the premiere but also taken a walk in St. Petersburg streets remaining unnoticed. Without vampire make-up he was easy to lost in the crows of tourists. Let's see one day of a vampire.

K.T.: It was beautiful. When I at 3 in the morning landed in St. Petersburg I was met by "Tanz der Vampire" fans about 30 people, the came to the airport in the middle of the night. And I saw how hearty Russian people are.

- "Kevin, welcome to Russia!"
- "Very nice! Hello! "
- "Here is a present for you it is a traditional Russian souvenir, matryoshka."

K.T.: When Ivan prepared the role of von Krolock he came to me in Stuttgart, I met him and learned something about his mind. Yet when I myself came to St. Petersburg I began to understand much better both Ivan and Russian people. Anyway it is very interesting for me as I've lived in Europe for 20 years and it has left some mark on my previous, American experience. Now I see and feel Russian people and they hearten me.

"I am so happy!"

K.T: After the premiere I spent all day sightseeing, visiting the Hermitage, Peterhof. And altogether Russian music, Russian culture, Russian thinking were just beautiful.

K.T.: When I walked in Petersburg streets I met different people but felt no suspicion from anybody, all of them were friendly and open-hearted. Russians are very charming and they have a sense of humor.
